Flyers' Pronger undergoes successful surgery

08/03/2010 - Philadelphia, PA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger underwent successful knee surgery last week and is expected to be ready in time for training camp, according to CSNPhilly.com.

The arthroscopic procedure was performed by Peter DeLuca.

Pronger led the Flyers in ice time (25:55) and plus-minus rating (plus-22) last season, his first with the orange and black following a trade with Anaheim. He also topped all Philadelphia rearguards with 10 goals and 55 points.

Although the Golden Bears are listed as 7.5-point favorites, the Sun Devils are 3-0, lead the nation in sacks with 18 and possess the Pac-10's leading passer in sophomore quarterback Rudy Carpenter.
